Handbook – Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) – Roughing it out with the law, spend $50,000 with consultants, or start with the basic knowledge and scale with the right provider?

There is always an easy way out. The challenge is always finding it.

I had a great chat with Richard Christopher – Personal Data Protection, Cybersecurity today along with some business owners who are finding #consultants for digital transformation, HRM, CRM costly especially for new startups and small medium enterprises (#SMEs) in #Singapore.

Richard used to protect our skies as a high ranking RSAF officer and is now protecting our data in a convenient and effective manner. Definitely someone who cares about how the people and how our SMEs are doing.

The world is moving at lighting speed with digitalization and it’s necessary to catch up. Being advanced in our websites, databases mean that we need to have the correct security posture to protect our clients’ data. Damaging corporate image or getting fined by the authorities for breaches are certainly the last thing in our minds.

Richard did all of us a favour by using his expertise to curate and summarize the key aspects of Data Protection Act including the appointment of Data Protection Officers into a handbook. Yes, an easy way to refer for answers when it comes to #PDPA.

When breaches happen, it’s too late to cry over spilt milk because we thought we knew. There are tons of information on data protection, and we also have the ‘hearsay from so and so’ who may inaccurately tell what we need to do to comply with the law.

If you are reading this post then congratulations, because you just entitled yourself to free PDPA advice to make our lives easier.
