Circular Economy with Social Enterprises

Business dealings and meaningful #circulareconomy for our children – “#Children are not just hope to us, but a collective hope for the world.” Mar Vin, Foo 🌿🪟

What can we do for not just our children, but the children of the world?

Nur Kasih Charity Thrift Shop

Today is a meaningful Saturday as we set off on a journey to the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur for a visit to a beautiful villa with multiple bedrooms and a pool under the Nur Kasih organization. A #socialenterprise with homestay, or bed and breakfast for families.

The highlight of its success is the development of similar villas that provides a recurring income to fund an orphanage and an Islamic school. The children greeted us with great warmth and performed a song while we dine with a simple meal of Nasi Tomato with Ayam, and Papadum.

Yet, what surprises us is the dedication of the Directors of Nur Kasih who succeeded their late mother to grow the orphanage of seven children from one single-storey building in Year 2008 to two buildings including a dormitory in Year 2023 using a #sustainable circular model where orphans learn skills to support multiple Nur Kasih not-for-profit social enterprises from bakery, laundry, agrotech, homestay, #charity thrift-shop and catering.

The orphans can choose between two growth avenues between religious studies and academic excellence before they are of age to join and serve the society and communities.

Vietnam, Cambodia, Turkey and Sabah are some of the places where Nur Kasih has established Islamic schools or travelled for excursions. One of the major automotive manufacturers in Malaysia is impressed with their mission and has extended support.

Self-sustaining, self-sufficient, and on a mission to help the children of our world. Kudos to Nur Kasih organization and maahad (school).

This is a fruitful trip with important business meetings for a better, fitter, healthier and #inclusive world.
