“Crystal ball gazing is what we always try to do to make sense of the future, only to realise almost everything is man-made.”

Check out this new #infographic from #Gartner on the upcoming new trends like Digital Immune System, Applied Observability, AI TRISM to Industry Cloud Platforms and more.

Digital Immune System refers to the resiliency and protection of a system to recover from a software bug or security issues affecting applications, allowing them to recover quickly from failures.

Applied Observability is the effective use of #data across infrastructure, platforms and businesses through observation to derive insights.

#AI TRISM revolves around the governance of articial intelligence around #ethics, e.g. trustworthiness, fairness, reliability and robustness.

#Industry#Cloud Platforms are essentially cloud platforms built or tailored towards specific industry or vertical needs. This enables cloud platforms to become more agile and attuned to business use cases addressing real world needs in a faster fashion.

Platform engineering involves automating processes for reporting and is similar to DevOps, but it extends further into creating APIs or software abstractions that offer flexibility to developers.

While the last ten years offer great advances in product and tool development, I believe we are going to see better and effective use of these #technologies for specific enhancement of business use cases.

Just like the invention of ‘The Wheel’ for transportation initially, more can be achieved using it in all sorts of systems, e.g. hydropower like wheel on a water mill to cogs and wheels in factories, plants and beyond.
