#enterprise#leadership#systems – “I had a glimpse of Systems Leadership.” Mar Vin, Foo🌿🪟
Does your organisation have the right system or framework in place to breed positivity?
During Singapore’s formative decades, there were only National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). When it comes to learning entrepreneurship and business, there was Singapore Institute of Management (SIM).
I was in the company of Alphonsus Pang and Dr Patrick Liew who shared the rapid changes of the world and the journeys of enterprises helmed by SIM graduates.
The conversation revolved around Systems Leadership which is increasingly relevant in turbulent times where social, income, ecological divides are widening.
People are important, however the systems or frameworks in place within organisations are equally crucial for good leaders to maximise their potential to cascade the right values across the organisation.
Shared purpose and co-creation are themes to foster teamwork and achieve greater heights together.
Former Managing Director of a well-known IT consulting firm, Dr. Candice Goh is now mentoring underprivileged students. She moderated our session and is active in the space of coaching too.
Glad to meet up with SIM Society’s appointment holders, like Dr. Rosemary Tan who contributed significantly with her company’s medical diagnostic devices for rapid discovery purposes and featured in an article by A*STAR, Singapore’s eminent research agency.
Let’s make the world a better place with common goals.
I am Mar Vin Foo .
Thank you for transcending beyond institutions, tribes and clans to a shared purpose and co-creation.
