As I prepare to share The Thousand Ships vision in an upcoming closed-door session with founders, incubator leaders, and creators spanning Singapore, the China market, and the Taiwan market, I’ve been reflecting on one early decision that quietly shaped this journey.

When The Thousand Ships was still just a conviction — no fleet, no polished narrative — Zoey Fong chose to back it.

Not because it was obvious.

Not because it was easy.

But because she saw something before others needed proof.

I’ve learned that in entrepreneurship, the strongest signals don’t come from pitch decks or stage time —
they come from who places trust when uncertainty is still high.
